Ok, I started this book in February and finally finished it in March. Since this is a very short book, that should tell you something.
Lilah is the 3rd and final book in a series by
Marek Halter on women of the Old Testament. This particular book is about the sister of Ezra. It starts off great, but about the middle it goes downhill. I understand that the author is trying to cover long periods of time by having Lilah look back on things through a letter, but it is very unsatisfying. The story was really good up to that point but it seems to loose all it's power to enthrall once she starts writing her letter. Plus it's has a rather depressing ending. Honestly if this had been the 1st book in the series, I would not have read the other ones.
