Here's a recap of my June ...
Books - 3 (992 pages)
- A Sense of the Mysterious (224 pages) - fascinating collection of essays on science and personal creativity
- Belong to Me (390 pages) - had some great characters but I didn't love it
- The Last Queen (378 pages) - LOVED this book
- I'm also steadily working on Gone With the Wind but since it has over 800 pages I won't be finished for a while (and I'm not including those pages in this month's count as the book isn't finished yet).
Audio Books - 2 (27.5 hours)
- Wuthering Heights (11.25 hours) - this is an all-time favorite of mine and I tremendously enjoyed revisiting it
- The Egyptologist (16.25 hours) - an odd book but I enjoyed it
- I'm also working on both Moll Flanders and Tides of War ... just a few cassettes to go in each book.
- We didn't read together at all this month but Kiddo did read some of a Star Wars book on his own while we were in Disney - that's a big deal for him!
I gave up on several books this month:
- Red Rain - the story couldn't keep me interested
- Journey to the Center of the Earth - the audio book narrator was horrendous
- The Secret Doorway - I did read the most important parts though
How did June treat all of you?

June? Did we have a June? It went by so quickly!
I celebrated my 54th birthday though - so I guess it didn't go by quickly enough!!
I also had a new fence installed and a laundry re-modeled so those are good things ~ I even read a book! Have you read The Shack? Katie and Mandy read it in book club and I was curious about it.
I'm so glad you went to Disney World ~ it is such a wonderful place to be!
Thanks for your blogoversary good wishes! I really do like it here.
Marie - Happy belated Birthday! I can't wait to see the pics of the finished laundry room. :) And I haven't read THE SHACK but you'll have to tell me what you thought of it ... I've heard both good and bad things, and I really don't want to read it, so you can go ahead and spoil it for me! ~LOL~
I don't keep track by month, but my June was much like your first paragraph- not a lot of reading but a nice month anyway.
Heather, you didn't even crack 1,000 pages last month? The horror!! You must be slowing down, now that you've had another birthday. :)
I suppose we can grant you a Disney World exemption, but only this once.
Lisa - I'm glad I'm not the only one. :)
Dave - I know, embarrassing, right?! July is off to a great start though, so I'm sure I'll make up for last month. ~LOL~
Heather, you're the reading queen!
So, this comment is unrelated. I have lost many of my fellow bloggers/readers due to a change in my feed address. As you're one of my favorite blogs, I wanted to let you know about this change in my feed address and URL. The post about it is here: http://anovelmenagerie.com/2009/06/30/blogging-update/. I just didn't want to lose touch (although, you're on my reader... so we're golden, there!)
Sheri
June certainly did fly by, but you had a great month!
