Current favorite audiobook: This is a hard one!
One narrator who always makes you choose audio over print: I love George Guidall for historical fiction, Katherine Kellgren is fantastic for accents, David Case for British books, and I could go on an on ...
Genre you most often choose to listen to: I really like non-fiction in audio but I can't say that I listen to more of that than anything else. The genres of the last few books I listened to were: fiction, fantasy, non-fiction, historical fiction, and paranormal.
If given the choice, you will always choose audio when: I love the narrator, or when I know I'll be doing lots of chores or driving and won't have a lot of time to read.
If given the choice, you will always choose print when: I always check who the narrator is before deciding to listen to a book, and if the narrator is one I don't like I'll always get the book in print.

I'm so new to audiobooks that I don't know what to look for (or avoid) in one. I do like British accents, though, so I'll look for one narrated by David Case as you suggested.
Molly - If you are a Harry Potter fan, you should try out that series. It is EXCELLENT, and the narration by Jim Dale is fabulous - he does British very well too.

I definitely agree about choosing print over audio if the narrator is someone I don't like. And non-fiction seems made for audio. It's so much more interesting with a great voice reading it to you :o)

My book club picked When the Killing's Done for our meeting last month and I couldn't get into it...perhaps if I tried to audio version, I would have liked it better.

I haven't listened to enough audiobooks to have a go-to narrator but like you I do tend to prefer non-fiction over fiction. Unless YA--something about YA works really well for me.
I'm not familiar with any of the narrators you named. I need to check them out.

I have not really followed a narrator yet but see from many posts that there are narrators that are "must listens" hopefully by this week next year I will be an audio pro and have narrators I love :)
I missed audiobook week it seems...boy am I out of the loop on these things...ugh...ah well.
I am totally hooked on audio books. The Guernsey Potato Peel Society is a great one. It is read by 5 people and the different voices and accents make it almost like listening to a play. I cannot get in my car without a book to listen to.
