Any Mary Russell fans out there?

If you are not a Mary Russell fan, you should be! I've been promoting Laurie R. King's Mary Russell & Sherlock Holmes series to my readers for quite a while but now I've got some extra ammunition for my cause ...
  • The wonderful and ever-popular Nymeth just reviewed the first book in the series, THE BEEKEEPER'S APPRENTICE and she is now a fangirl of Mary Russell. You can't argue with Nymeth, now can you?
  • For the author's thoughts on the first book in the series you should check out this short post.
  • The 10th book in the series, THE GOD OF THE HIVE, comes out in April 2010. To help promote the book, King has put together Twenty Weeks of Buzz. Events will include a free download of THE BEEKEEPER'S APPRENTICE (perfect for those of you who are still on the fence!), a fundraiser for Heifer International, and much, much more. The full details are at this link, and you can catch the latest announcements at King's blog, Mutterings.

I truly loved The Beekeeper's Apprentice and have read it twice. I keep meaning to continue with the series, but you know how it is. Something always comes along. :-)

Hope to work on this series this year. Thanks for the info, Heather.

kathleen - She's great, isn't she?!

Kay - You really should read the rest of the series - King includes so much historical detail that it is like reading historical fiction with a mystery twist.

Wow, I keep hearing about this author, but I had no idea that she had ten books in this series already! I might check this out, because I just saw the Sherlock Holmes movie(which was totally kick ass)and it brought me back into Sherlock Holmes obsession mode again.

You CAN argue with me, but thanks for the kind words :D I LOVE that this series is so long! Still, I wish there were a hundred of them and not just ten :P
