Your BEA Schedule? Mine?

For those of you planning to go to BEA later this month, what are the do-not-miss events/authors for you?  Devourer of Books is asking the same question at her blog so be sure to post your comment there and see what everyone else is looking forward to.

I've come up with a very tentative list of authors/events I'd like to see on Wednesday and Thursday and I'd love to know if any of you will be at these events as well.  When you check out my list please note that there are TONS of conflicting events!  I put everything on there that I might want to do and will be narrowing it down over the next few days.

Oh, and the list is organized by date and time ... 'cause I'm a nerd like that. ;)

There's just no way you can do it all. I'm trying not to plan too much in advance and just kind of wing it when I get there.

I'm taking Kathy's approach, though The Girl and I have looked at the schedule to pick out a few must-dos.

Lots of great events, some I had missed while perusing the list! I'm definitely doing the Harper Collins Book Blogger Event, but other than that... I'm not sure yet. Are ebooks Good for Authors, Who's Reading ebooks, Community Social Networking, and The Next Decade in Book Culture all look really interesting.

bermudaonion - Oh I'll be winging much of it I'm sure, but I'd hate to miss something REALLY GOOD because I didn't know about it. :)

Anna - Good plan!

Amy - I'll see you at the HC event for sure - can't wait to meet everyone!

Excellent!

Also, I have to ask because I couldn't find anything about it on the BEA site, what is the HBO's The Pacific event about? A signing? Or a talk? Or what?

Amy - Sorry, I was jotting notes for myself and forgot that no one else would understand that. :) Sid Phillips's story is part of the HBO's mini-series The Pacific. He'll be there signing his book, You'll Be Sor-ree! A Guadalcanal Marine Remembers the Pacific War.

Thanks Heather. Very neat. I have a friend who loves the series, but I am already torn between Justin Cronin and Michele Young-Stone soo.... he'll just have to do without ;)
