Other than our love of all things Disney, there is another reason we enjoy our trips there so much. Remember all of Kiddo's food allergy issues? Disney can handle it. Yup, that's right, his situation is no problem for them. We have NO worries when we go there - they make him delicious and safe meals everywhere we go, and they work with us to make sure he gets to experience the parks like every other kid his age. For that reason we HIGHLY recommend Disney trips to everyone we know.
So you can share in my excitement I'm devoting this edition of Lovely Links to all things Disney - yea!
Fun Disney Stuff
- This woman celebrated her 100th birthday at Disneyland. What's more, she was supposed to have been on the Titanic ...
- Disney to revamp Star Tours ride ... that's kiddo's favorite! And the filming has already begun.
- Disneyland in California has the new characters from UP - check it out here. And you can read about the research that went into the movie here.
- Is the Disney Train coming to a city near you? This amazing 40-car train is helping to promote the upcoming Disney movie "A Christmas Carol." Read more about it here and watch a short trailer for the movie here. Then you can read an interview with the star of the film, Jim Carrey.
- Kiddo is a huge LEGO fanatic and I'm dreading what this announcement from Disney and LEGO means for my budget.
- Money donated by guests at Disney parks helped wildlife injured in the recent fires in Australia.

Heather-
SOO Jeolous about Disney! we are trying to go in December. The hello neighbor thing....not sure where it came from. At least he is in good company with hubby saying it too (didn't know if you didn't want me to mention his name on your blog). Hope you guys have a great time in Disney and let us know all about it!
Alex
All your comments today will say: "jealous"!!! And it's even better for you because you don't have to spend half a day while Kiddo gets fixed up to look like a princess! :--)
Love Disney!
Hubby and I took Miss O. last year, and we're already itching to go back.
I knew about Mousesavers. Can't wait to try out the other two links.
oooo, have fun!! I'm going to be Soarin' and riding the Toy Story Midway all afternoon. :)
Alex - Wish you could go with us! We're going to plan a big family trip in a few years ... hopefully you can make it then. :)
rhapsodyinbooks - Yes, I'm so glad about that! We never have to wait in the long lines to see the princesses either. :) But wait 'til you see the new hairstyle Kiddo has ... I'll post a pic before I leave. ~LOL~
photogrl - Another site I forgot to mention in AllEars.net - they are very helpful too.
ella144 - We ALL love Soarin'! It's such a great ride. And I'm excited about the new Toy Story ride - Kiddo and Hubby got to ride it in California last year but I wasn't able to go on that trip. :(
I love Disneyland/World. My son will be thrilled to hear about the new Star Tours footage. We rode it back in May and we were both complaining over how outdated it was.
The Christmas train came to Los Angeles over Memorial Day weekend so we missed it.
Have a great time! I was wondering what you do about your son's food allergies when you go. Do you have any helpful hints from one mom to another?
Ti - I enjoyed the pics you posted from Disneyland a while back. :)
Julie - Absolutely! I'll email you as well but if anyone else is reading this ... all you need to do is contact Disney Dining (through their reservation phone # - 407-WDISNEY) and tell them about your child's allergies. They will give you all the help you need.
Thanks for all of the great Disney links! I'm glad they're going to update Star Tours, and also glad that I got a chance to ride on it (for the first time) last fall. I'd love to be able to compare the two, so hopefully they'll have it done the next time we go (2 years from now).
Alyce - I haven't seen a schedule for when they'll update the ride but I do know they're working on it. Hopefully it will be ready when you go next!
I've never been to Disneyworld (Disneyland in CA, Paris and Tokyo yes, but not the BIG one).
Have fun!
Lenore - one of these days (when I inherit lots of money from a long lost relative I've never heard of) I want to visit all the other Disney locations around the world.
Thanks for including The Disney Blog up there in your list of suggested blogs. We're honored.
John - no problem! you guys do a great job over there. :)
Have a fantastic time, Heather! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Disneyworld/land and still contend in my 28th year that it IS the happiest place on earth. Hope you and hubby and kiddo have the best time.
Trish - Yes, I completely agree, it IS the happiest place on earth!
