Weekly Geeks #6 - Catching Up

This week's task for the intrepid Weekly Geeks is to catch up on book reviews or other stuff that we have been putting off. I'm happy to say that I've done well with my reviews so I'm not behind - yeah! Here are the reviews I've posted recently:

• Last Chance to See - I loved this book, and it was a very quick read.
• Stone Creek - Surprisingly I liked this one even though it's not my usual fare.
• Water for Elephants - I avoided it for long enough!
• The Avengers: A Jewish War Story - You have to read this. You absolutely HAVE to read this.

I did do some catching up in other areas though. For example ...

You may recall from here that I've been looking for the family of my Grandpa's WWII buddy. So I got off my butt and did more poking around which led to pretty fantastic results.

I also decided to figure out how to make buttons for my upcoming book giveaway (starting June 8). With the help of Trish and Kylee I learned how to make a button and also how to create a text box to put the code into. Thanks to both of you! You can check out my cool new button on Sunday when I post the detail of the contest.

So that's my update for the week ... now I can catch up on my reading!
