Something I've appreciated in other blogs during NCLM is when people put up a little survey so you can introduce yourself more easily. Because I readily admit that sometimes even when you're enjoying someone's writing, it gets really hard after a while to think up something new to say in response. So here you go: instead of blathering on endlessly about myself, I'll ask about you (one of the cardinal precepts of good conversation).See this is sort of like a meme, but better. Why you ask? Well, the thing I don't like about memes is that you have to tag people; I always think "What if they don't WANT to be tagged?". The thing I do like about memes is that you get to know stuff about other people. So this is the best of both worlds!
1. What do you do for a living?
2. Where do you live?
3. Who do you live with?
4. What's your favorite book (or movie, if you don't have a favorite book)?
5. Coffee or tea?
And instead of having to follow the links looking for people who actually posted their answers after getting tagged, you can just browse the comment section instead. If someone's answers sound interesting to you, go on over and check out their blog - and drop a comment while you're there. :)
To get things rolling, here are my answers to the questions:
- Sales/Marketing Coordinator for a small IT company that was recently bought out by Bridgestone - we write software and sell handheld computers to the tire retreading industry (crazy, I konw, but I really love it)
- Maryland
- Hubby and 6 yr old son, big dog, lots of small fish
- How to decide such a thing?! I'll have to go with a childhood favorite since it's the only consistent one: Seeds and More Seeds (I wrote about it here)
- Tea all the way. Coffee SMELLS good but it tastes awful. Oh, and the tea has to be hot, not iced. My gram is Irish, so cold tea was practically a sin in our house.

1. I'm a mom to a two and a half year old and a 13 month old. Both boys. So very busy.
2. I live in Utah.
3. I live with my husband and kids. I wish we had pets.
4. I rarely reread a book twice so I can't say that I have a favorite. As for movies, I do rewatch those over and over. My favorite is Last of the Mohicans.
5. Neither.
Okay, here goes:
1) I am an IT Consultant for a university. I write technical documentation and work closely with faculty.
2) I live in So. California.
3) I live with my husband, my son (almost 10), my daughter (almost 5) and a fish named Lolita.
4) Favorite book is still A Separate Peace. I wrote a screenplay adaptation of it that I never did anything with. THAT is how much I loved it.
5) I am not a coffee drinker, but when I drink it, it has to be super good. I am a coffee snob.
Lauren - I love Mary Kay!
Natasha - A fish named Lolita - how literary. :)
Ti - My family visits Temecula and San Diego every year - it's our favorite part of the country.
Thanks for your responses! I look forward to reading about more of my readers too!
I love this idea! :)

2. Where do you live? Los Angeles.
3. Who do you live with? My hubby and our mutt.
4. What's your favorite book (or movie, if you don't have a favorite book)? My favorite book is "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy.
5. Coffee or tea? Green tea.
I love this idea! I may have to flat out steal it from you ;>). OK, here goes --
1. What do you do for a living? I'm a freelance writer (science books for kids, mostly -- author of 20, so far) by way of teaching high-school science and cytogenetics (in other words, I'm a HUGE science geek ;>)).
2. Where do you live? St. Petersburg, Florida for the last year, but I grew up on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and spent the last 5 years across the Hudson from lower Manhattan in Jersey City, NJ (I'm terribly glad to be back in warmer weather ;>). I am NOT a snow kinda girl).
3. Who do you live with?
4. What's your favorite book (or movie, if you don't have a favorite book)? OK, this is impossible. If I absolutely had to choose, it'd be something by Steinbeck or Nora Roberts (I know, I know, I have schizophrenic reading tastes, but it makes me happy ;>)).
5. Coffee or tea? Both of them. Iced or hot. Sweet. But lots of milk with the coffee.
Whoops, I totally missed
3. Who do you live with? My hubby and our two feline fur babies -- Hobie (a big, fat male orange-black tabby) and Mizmo (a sleeker, gray-black female tabby) both mutts my DH found in a park on Staten Island.
1. What do you do for a living?
I am a translator for a credit union's website in Quebec.
2. Where do you live?
Montreal, which I love.
3. Who do you live with?
Two roomies. We had a beta fish, but it recently died. Gross. His name was Betterave (Beet in French). He has now gone to that great fish tank in the sky, by way of our toilet.
4. What's your favorite book (or movie, if you don't have a favorite book)?
You ask this on a reading blog?! How can your readers choose! So difficult. Books are too lovable. A recent favourite of mine is "To say nothing of the dog" by Connie Willis.
5. Coffee or tea?
Coffee, but only the mocha kind, where it's more like hot chocolate.
