Laurie R. King coming to DC & Baltimore

Here's a great chance for all of you who live in and around Washington, DC. and Baltimore, Maryland - you can meet author Laurie R. King!

Details on each event are below, along with a bit of info about her upcoming book.

I'll definitely be at the Baltimore event ... will I see any of you there?

"In 1994, Laurie King's The Beekeeper's Apprentice introduced young Mary Russell to Sherlock Holmes, and a cult was born. The ninth book in the Russell/Holmes series, The Language of Bees, returns the duo to Sussex Downs where they met and to the beekeeping passion that became Holmes' avocation upon his retirement from Baker Street."

I'm hoping to get to the DC event. If not, maybe I'll hop up to Baltimore instead. Laurie King is one of my favorites, and the Mary Russell series is the only series going right now that I make a point of reading right away when a new book comes out. It would be such a thrill to meet her!

d.c. is closer for me...I may go to that one. I'll be headed into Bethesda for Operation Homecoming for Richard Currey's reading of his 20th anniversary edition of his Vietnam War novel Fatal Light. Its going to be fantastic.
