BBAW - Underappreciated Blogs

For the first day of BBAW, our task is to recognize some of our favorite blogs that DIDN'T make it to the finals for awards this week. There are many I could share with you but I'll try to keep it short, focusing on the ones I feel are the lesser known.
  • If you're doing the 1% Well Read Challenge (or reading any of the 1,001 books on the list) you have to check out 1,001 Books and 100 Words for Each. I love this site! Talk about concise ... I know I can't do a review in 100 words, can you?

  • I love reading (duh!) and I love tea (English teas like Darjeeling and Earl Grey) and so does Bookworms and Tea Lovers. She lives in the Netherlands and posts about great books I've often never heard of.

  • Love Tolkien? Need an excuse to read more of his books? Check out this very new blog, The Tolkien Reading Quest. You can join in and post your thoughts, or just read along as others post theirs. But remember, it's a VERY new blog so there's not much there yet.

  • Two of my favorite bloggers got together and created a new business, TLC Book Tours. I don't know if they need more bloggers to review books, but they might. Regardless, you should keep an eye on their site for news about fantastic new books!
That's my list for this first day of BBAW. Do you have any underappreciated blogs to share? Post a comment with a link to them - I'll definitely check them all out!

You might be interested in heading over to Arukiyomi's blog and picking up a copy of the new version of Arukiyomi's 1001 books spreadsheet.

Along with some cool new features, there are lists of both the revised 1001 books and those that were removed from the new 2008 list.

Happy reading!
